The Premier League returned to midweek action during the latest set of fixtures, with several players standing out after some shock results across the division.

Tottenham slipped dangerously close to the relegation zone after a 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace, while West Ham picked up a narrow 1-0 victory against Fulham.

Elsewhere, Chelsea got back to winning ways with an impressive 4-1 triumph over Aston Villa and Arsenal opened up a seven-point gap at the top of the league after beating Brighton 1-0.

Goalkeeper

Mads Hermansen (West Ham) - 7.9

Hermansen has enjoyed a strong return to the West Ham team after a difficult start to the campaign and impressed again in the Hammers' 1-0 win over Fulham.

The goalkeeper made five saves to help keep a third clean sheet in his last five appearances.

Defenders

Jurrien Timber (Arsenal) - 7.9

Arsenal needed to grind out a narrow win against Brighton on Wednesday evening and looked to their resolute defence to ensure they came away with all three points.

Timber was one of several top performers and contributed with eight duels won, six clearances, three interceptions and one tackle.

Gabriel (Arsenal) - 8.3

Another exceptional showing for Arsenal came from Gabriel - who stood firm at the back to help the Gunners keep a valuable clean sheet.

The Brazilian made a match-high 14 clearances on top of one tackle and seven successful duels to ensure his side shut out their opponents for the 14th time in the league this season.

Rayan Ait-Nouri (Manchester City) - 7.9

Manchester City will have been disappointed to draw 2-2 with Nottingham Forest despite leading the game on two separate occasions.

One player to come out with some credit was defender Ait-Nouri, who provided an assist and was generally a reliable attacking outlet throughout the match.

The 24-year-old completed four dribbles, 29 passes in the final third and one accurate cross against a tricky Forest side.

Midfielders

Ismaila Sarr (Crystal Palace) - 8.8

Sarr ran the show as Crystal Palace came from behind to beat 10-man Spurs 3-1 on Thursday evening, netting twice to condemn the north London side to yet another defeat.

The winger first converted from the penalty spot before calmly poking the ball home just seven minutes later for his second of the match.

His performance earned an 8.8 Flashscore player rating - the highest of anyone over the last round of fixtures - which makes Sarr our Player of the Week!

Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest) - 8.5

The top performer at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday evening was Forest star, Anderson.

The Englishman put in a superb all-round showing and even netted his side's equaliser with an excellent finish from outside the penalty area.

His influence also stretched beyond the goal, with 11 duels won, four tackles, one interception, one big chance created and two successful dribbles.

Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace) - 8.4

Another impressive Crystal Palace showing came from Wharton, who grabbed two assists in their victory at Spurs.

The midfielder took full advantage of his side's dominance, creating two big chances, winning five duels and taking two shots himself.

James Garner (Everton) - 8.4

Garner was Everton's creative spark in their 2-0 win against Burnley on Tuesday evening.

He dominated the middle of the pitch and managed a match-high 64 accurate passes, one big chance created and three accurate crosses.

His creativity was rewarded with an assist, while Garner also contributed defensively with seven duels won and three tackles.

Andre (Wolves) - 8.1

Wolves secured a shock 2-1 win against Liverpool at Molineux on Tuesday - with Andre netting a 94th-minute winner to send the home fans wild.

The Brazilian benefited from some good fortune after his strike took a big deflection, although he also stood out with some top defensive work, winning seven duels, making three tackles, two interceptions and one clearance.

Forwards

Joao Pedro (Chelsea) - 8.6

Chelsea forward Pedro was central to their 4-1 thrashing of Aston Villa, having an involvement in every goal for the Blues.

The striker netted a hat-trick at Villa Park and even turned provider for teammate Cole Palmer - taking his 2026 goal involvement tally to 12 in all competitions.

He narrowly missed out on our Player of the Week accolade after being shown a yellow card.

Crysencio Summerville (West Ham) - 8.1

Another player to enjoy a resurgence in 2026 is West Ham winger Summerville, who got on the scoresheet once again in his side's win away at Fulham.

Summerville pounced on a defensive error to curl a clinical effort into the back of the net and continue his superb run of form.

The winger now has five Premier League goals this calendar year and is proving vital to West Ham's battle to avoid relegation.
