Despite experiencing a rollercoaster season which saw former Bologna boss Thiago Motta sacked in March, Juve still found themselves in the thick of a top-four battle, and the visitors got off to a great start here, opening the scoring inside nine minutes.
Andrea Cambiaso drove at the heart of the Bologna defence before squaring to Khéphren Thuram, who took a touch before unleashing a low drive from outside of the box that nestled in the back of the net despite Łukasz Skorupski getting a hand to it.

Bologna responded well to falling behind early on, but struggled to threaten Michele Di Gregorio. On 25 minutes, Riccardo Orsolini whipped in a corner that looked to be creeping in, but the Juve stopper did well to tip it over the bar, before Sam Beukema headed over from a set-piece.
Nicolás González thought he had doubled the Bianconeri’s lead right before half time after breaking through on goal and sliding past Skorupski, but his joy was short-lived as the strike was ruled out for offside.
Juve had the ball in the net for the third time five minutes after the restart when Andrea Cambiaso rolled home, but once again the Old Lady were denied by the offside flag.
And the visitors’ disappointment was compounded when Bologna levelled on 54 minutes. Nicolò Cambiaghi stood the ball up to the back post, where Thijs Dallinga nodded into the feet of Remo Freuler, who took a touch and finished via a deflection.
González came close to restoring Juve’s lead minutes later, but Skorupski did well to get down low and gather his effort.

The visitors continued to probe for a second goal as Alberto Costa pounced on a goalmouth scramble, but his effort was blocked on the line.
In the end, neither side found the elusive second goal and they had to settle for a point apiece. Juventus move back into the top four above Roma, with Bologna just a point further back after a 10th successive home match without defeat.
