A dream goal by Fridolina Rolfö gave Sweden a superp start to their Nations League campaign when the two neighbouring countries faced each other on Danish turf on Friday evening.
The Danes fell behind from an own goal already after seven minutes when a cross from the Juventus-player Hanna Bennison into the Danish box caused chaos in the host's defense. Goalkeeper Maja Bay Østergaard first made a classy save, before it looked like Stine Ballisager pushed the ball the last bit over the line.
However, it only took the Danes three minutes to restore parity when Pernille Harder converted from the penalty spot after a Swedish defender was adjudged to have had her hand on the ball in the box.

The first 30 minutes offered end-to-end to action before the visitors took control of the match in the end of the first half.
The Swedes also began the second half in similar fashion and were duly rewarded for their efforts seven minutes after the restart when FC Barcelona's Fridolina Rolfö hammered the ball into the net at the far post.
The Danes subsequently put pressure on the Swedes by taking a more direct approach, and at the same time the visitors seemed content to defend in numbers.
But the hosts never truly recovered from Rolfö's screamer and Sweden never surrendered their control with proceedings during the second half as their got their Nations League campaign off to a perfect start.
