Goalkeeper

Dayne St. Clair (Minnesota United) 9.3

In a crunch match between the top two sides of the MLS Western Conference, the visitors, Minnesota, walked away with a 3-1 victory, moving them to within two points of division leaders San Diego.

In a match dominated by the hosts in terms of possession and chances created, it is fair to say Minnesota wouldn't have won by such a comfortable scoreline if it weren't for the heroics of St. Clair. The Canadian keeper made 13 stops while letting just one in as Dallas piled on the pressure on his goal relentlessly.

St. Clair, however, was in inspired form as he took matters into his own hands to deny the home side. Dallas created seven big chances and had an XG of 2.16, but every time they broke free on goal, St. Clair was quick off his line to close the angle before making cat-like reflexes.

Defence

Willi Orban (Leipzig) 8.8

After their humbling defeat to Bayern Munich on the opening day of the season, Leipzig have bounced back really well, claiming back-to-back wins in the Bundesliga. That has also involved consecutive clean sheets, including in their 1-0 away win at Mainz on the weekend.

Orban was an instrumental part of that victory, putting in a powerful defensive shift alongside Castello Lukeba. The Hungarian had 23 clearances, including 16 aerially, as they shut out the hosts.

Givairo Read (Feyenoord) 8.6

In an evenly contested affair, Feyenoord just needed the one goal to ensure an important three points kept them level on points with PSV at the top of the Eredivisie with a game in hand. An exciting young player who is establishing himself as an important player for Robin van Persie's side is Read, and the full-back played an instrumental role in his first start of the season.

After a faultless defensive performance in the first half, the right-back made a darting run into the box in the 42nd minute that a centre forward would be proud of before brilliantly assisting Anis Hadj Moussa with a clever flick for the match-winning goal.

Dinis Pinto (Moreirense) 8.4

From one right-back to another, Pinto played an even more central role in helping his side, Moreirense, continue their fast start to the campaign with a 3-1 victory at home to Rio Ave. Despite first-half chances for both sides, it took until early in the second half for Moreirense to take the lead, through Travassos, after a smart flick around the corner from Pinto brilliantly set up the second-half substitute.

The full-back would then use his pace to get onto a ball into the box before laying it off for Alanzinho to score. Those two assists bring Pinto to four assists from five games at the start of the season. Impressive stats indeed.

Midfield

Ricard Sanchez (Estoril) 9.5

Another player who lit up the Portuguese league this weekend was Estoril winger Sanchez, as he played a central role in their 3-1 victory against AFS.

After setting up the first goal of the game in the 12th minute, Sanchez put the home side 3-0 up and out of sight in the second period after tapping in a lovely worked move at the back post.

Charles De Ketelaere (Atalanta) 10

One of three perfect 10s in this edition of Team of the Week, Belgian midfielder De Ketelaere led Atalanta to their first victory of the season, as they thumped Lecce 4-1.

De Ketelaere bagged two goals in the win and was simply at the heart of all things good for his team. The 24-year-old created six chances and had an 82% pass accuracy in 75 minutes of action.

Thomas Muller (Vancouver Whitecaps) 9.6

Back to the MLS and Bayern Munich legend Muller has begun his new adventure in style.

After scoring in his first start last weekend, the veteran forward netted a hat-trick as Vancouver humiliated Philadelphia Union 7-0 to secure a spot in the playoffs.

If he hadn't already, Muller has arrived in the States with a birthday hat-trick in his third appearance to take the match ball home. Whilst two of the goals might have penalties, Muller took them with the composure you would expect from the ice-cool German before completing his tally with a poacher's header late on.

If that wasn't enough, Muller scored the fifth goal of the night to get his first MLS assist.

Fermin Lopez (Barcelona) 9.4

With Barcelona's array of attacking talent, Fermin has at times struggled for consistent game time. However, he has reportedly turned down a move away in favour of fighting for his place in Hansi Flick's side. The attacking midfielder showed Flick exactly why he can play a pivotal part this season at the weekend in his first start of the season.

With Barcelona missing some key players, Fermin took matters into his own hands with a classy brace in Barcelona's 6-0 dismantling of Valencia. Whilst his first goal was a well-taken finish from a tight angle, his second was a trademark thunderbolt from range which curled into the bottom corner.

Diego Rossi (Columbus Crew) 10

The second of three perfect 10s comes from the last of three MLS representatives in the Team of the Week. Rossi was a man on a mission in an extraordinary first half for the Columbus Crew as they took a 5-0 lead inside the first 40 minutes in Atlanta.

Rossi got three of those as he found himself in the right place at the right time for a dream first-half hat-trick. Atlanta would stage a remarkable comeback in the second half to make the score read 5-4, but the damage had already been done in the first half. Talk about a game of two halves!

Attack

Harry Kane (Bayern Munich) 10

The England captain has yet again popped up in our Team of the Week! Bayern Munich's goal machine just keeps on delivering, registering a perfect rating after bagging a brace and an assist against newly promoted Hamburger SV, in a thumping 5-0 victory.

Kane has eight goals and three assists for Bayern this season, with five of those coming in three Bundesliga games. Barring a miracle, he will end the season with his third consecutive top scorer award and another league title to his name. A master marksman.

Ricardo Pepi (PSV) 9.6

The final piece in this Team of the Week puzzle is a richly deserved one. Pepi scored PSV's first and fourth goals in a thrilling 5-3 victory away to Nijmegen in the Eredivisie in a standout individual performance.

Pepi opened the scoring for the visitors with a smart finish into the bottom left-hand corner before directing a header past the keeper from close range to cap off a clinical display.
