The stakes are getting higher and higher across football's top leagues as we enter the final stages of the season, and these are the players who rose to the occasion over the weekend.

Based on our internal player ratings system, this is our latest Team of the Week:

Goalkeeper

Thomas Dahne (Holstein Kiel), 8.5

Holstein Kiel kept their hopes of Bundesliga survival alive with a 3-1 win away to Augsburg on Sunday, but things would have been very different if not for goalkeeper Dahne.

The 31-year-old saved nine efforts from the hosts and seven that were taken from close range, making him our highest-rated goalkeeper of the weekend.

Defence

Michael Kayode (Brentford), 8.5

Brentford loanee Kayode has broken into the first team in the last few weeks and very much justified his place in it against Manchester United.

The full-back, on loan from Fiorentina, set up his side's fourth in their 4-3 win with a nice ball across goal and generally defended well at the other end of the pitch.

Murillo (Nottingham Forest), 8.5

Nottingham Forest's efforts to secure Champions League football continued to falter as they dropped points for the fifth time in six games against Crystal Palace, but Murillo ensured that they did at least get a draw.

The centre-back made it 1-1 by diverting an effort from Neco Williams into the back of the net and made 11 clearances at the other end.

Nouhou (Seattle Sounders), 8.8

Over in the MLS, Cameroon international Nouhou delivered an attacking masterclass from left-back in the closing stages of the Seattle Sounders' 4-1 victory against St Louis.

His perfect cross set up his side's third goal and he then scored one himself in stoppage time, thumping the ball into the top corner from close range.

Midfield

Anis Hadj Moussa (Feyenoord), 9.5

Feyenoord have been on fire since Robin van Persie took over, winning their last seven matches and scoring 24 goals in the process, and Hadj Moussa in one of the players thriving the most under the legendary Dutchman.

He got Feyenoord's first two goals in their 4-1 win away to Heracles and now has three in his last six, taking his tally to 11 for the season.

Hwang In-Beom (Feyenoord), 8.9

Hadj Moussa is joined in our team of the week by Feyenoord teammate Hwang, who was our system's highest-rated central midfielder in the major leagues over the weekend.

The South Korean placed an effort into the far corner from the edge of the box to make it 3-1 and created a number of chances for teammates in the 45 minutes that he played.

Stije Resink (Groningen), 8.8

Sticking in the Eredivisie, Resink bagged a brace as Groningen smashed Waalwijk 6-1 to move into the European playoff places.

The midfielder's first was a straightforward header from a corner, but his second, a powerful strike from just outside the box, was a beauty.

Hirving Lozano (San Diego), 9.6

San Diego got their first win in four games in style, putting five past FC Dallas, and Lozano had a hand in four of them.

After opening the scoring from the spot, he made it 2-0 by getting in behind and rounding the keeper. Then, he set up the third with an excellent run and through ball.

Attack

Charles De Ketelaere (Atalanta), 9.3

Our highest-rated Serie A player from the latest round of action was Atalanta's De Ketelaere, with the Belgian playmaker getting his 12th and 13th goals of the season in Monza.

The first was one to be proud of too, with him controlling the ball just outside the box, jinking past a defender and firing home.

Alexander Bernhardsson (Holstein Kiel), 9.3

Bernardsson has been in unstoppable form in the last month or so, with his two goals at the weekend taking him onto six goal contributions in his last five matches.

Both were excellent finishes but the first, a lobbed header from a tricky angle, was especially impressive.

Ivan Perisic (PSV), 9.3

Thirty-six-year-old winger Perisic continues to show that age is just a number with the Croatian bagging his first hat-trick since 2017 in PSV's 4-1 thrashing of Fortuna Sittard.

All three were simple finishes but he showed excellent anticipation to be in the right place at the right time for all of them, and he now has 11 goals in all competitions this campaign.
