The Australian Open has most definitely arrived at its business end with the semi-finals now set on both sides. Today, the last four women play for a place in Saturday's final.

15:15 CET - That's that for today's singles action in Melbourne and so we are into the final three days of the Australian Open.

First up tomorrow is the first men's semi-final between Novak Djokovic (37) and world number two Alexander Zverev (27), and that will be followed by a clash between reigning champion Jannik Sinner (23) and Ben Shelton (22).

Djokovic's match will get underway at around 04:30 CET, and we'll be back with a brand new tracker to bring you coverage of it. See you then!

14:20 CET - What a performance that was from Keys. She's got a real chance of claiming her first Grand Slam title if she can produce that level of tennis again in the final.

13:55 CET - Madison Keys (29) has done it! The American has won an absolute epic with Iga Swiatek (23) 5-7, 6-1, 7-6, saving a match point and coming from behind in the final tiebreak to reach the Australian Open for the first time.

12:52 CET - What a set of tennis from Keys! The American produced a masterclass in ball striking to claim it 6-1 in just 27 minutes and take this match to a decider.

If she can maintain this level, Swiatek is in trouble.

12:24 CET - Swiatek leads! The Pole has won what was a bizarre set of tennis 7-5; it featured seven breaks of serve and just five holds, with both players doing better when returning.

Keys is holding her own, but will have to come from behind now.

11:26 CET - One spot in the Australian Open final remains up for grabs and we're about to find out who will take it, with Iga Swiatek (23) and Madison Keys (29) taking to the court.

Swiatek may be the favourite, but Keys did prevail the last time the two faced off on a hard court and has looked good in the first few weeks of 2025, so this could be a close one.

11:16 CET - Aryna Sabalenka (26) is back into the Australian Open final! The reigning champion stepped up her game in the second set to beat Paula Badosa (27) 6-4, 6-2.

10:39 CET - Top seed and double defending champion Aryna Sabalenka (26) is one set away from the Australian Open final! She leads her bestie Paula Badosa (27) 6-4 despite struggling to fully find her groove yet.

09:45 CET - The first women's semi-final at the Australian Open between Aryna Sabalenka (26) and Paula Badosa (27) is underway at a packed-out Rob Laver Arena in Melbourne!

06:25 CET - We are down to the final four women at the Australian Open and today we will see both semi-finals take place.

In the first of the two semis, top seed Aryna Sabalenka (26) will take on 11th seed, and close friend, Paula Badosa (27). Sabalenka will be the firm favourite having won their last six meetings but both players are in fine form.

In fact, both have had almost flawless tournaments thus far only dropping one set each. The match is due to start at 09:30 CET.

In the second semi-final, second seed Iga Swatek (23) will take on outsider Madison Keys (29).

Swiatek has barely broken a sweat in Melbourne and is yet to drop a set but the experienced Keys will be buoyed by her recent wins over the higher-ranked Elena Rybakina (25) and Danielle Collins (31).
