It is going to be an excellent, jam-packed day at the Cincinnati Open, with the last of the quarter-finals on both the men's and the women's side of the draw set to take place. Who can book their spots in the semi-final at the final tune-up tournament before the US Open?

05:05 CET - After dropping the first set, Jasmine Paolini completes the comeback over Coco Gauff 2-6, 6-4, 6-3. Paolini now moves on to her fourth Masters semi-finals and her first in Cincinnati. She is 3-0 against Gauff this year, earning her first win against her on hard court.

Paolini twisted her ankle in the second set and took a tumble, but she recovered for her ninth top 10 win.

02:35 CET - Alexander Zverev made quick work of Ben Shelton, defeating him in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. After a medical timeout for Zverev in the second set for feeling lightheaded and dizzy, the German bounced back to advance in Cincinnati.

Zverev now advances to his fourth Cincinnati semi-finals (22nd overall) with his 56th top-10 win.

23:43 CET - Veronika Kudermetova has made light work of French qualifier Varvara Gracheva, crushing her opponent 6-1, 6-2 in just over an hour to move into the Cincinnati semifinals. It is her third WTA 1000 last-four appearance.

23:31 CET - Carlos Alcaraz is into the semi-finals thanks to a battling win over Andrey Rublev. The Spaniard needed three sets to see off his opponent, winning their encounter 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 with 11 aces and 27 winners.

20:25 CET - What an absolutely phenomenal performance from Elena Rybakina! The Kazakh was in imperious touch as she destroyed world number one and defending champion Aryna Sabalenka in an hour and 15 minutes, 6-1, 6-4.

It was a truly scintillating display of hitting as she blew Sabalenka off the court, and she sets up a semi-final meeting with Iga Swiatek.

18:46 CET - Iga Swiatek continues her fabulous form in Cincinnati, easing to a 6-3, 6-4 victory over a slightly-hampered Anna Kalinskaya, and moving into a third consecutive semi-final at this tournament. The Pole looks in ominous touch and hasn't dropped a set all week.

17:05 CET - Right then, we are just minutes away from the opening match of the day in Cincinnati, which sees Iga Swiatek come up against Anna Kalinskaya.
