After nearly two weeks of action, the Madrid Open is slowly coming to an end, with the women's final taking place this evening. World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka takes on Coco Gauff in what is sure to be an absolute thriller in the Spanish capital.

21:00 CET - After watching the brilliant Aryna Sabalenka take the WTA title in Madrid by storm, how about a men's final tomorrow, which on paper should be a lot closer?

Whilst Sabalenka is in a league of her own in the women's game, on the men's side, there is somewhat of an opening for a new top dog in the absence of Jannik Sinner and the inconsistency displayed by Carlos Alcaraz.

No player in 2025 has looked more likely to take on that role than Jack Draper, as the world number six won Indian Wells in March and returns to another final tomorrow.

Draper will face world number 15 Casper Ruud in the final from 18:30 CET, and despite the Norwegian's impressive run in Madrid, the Englishman will be the favourite for a second ATP 1000 title in 2025.

20:16 CET - Aryna Sabalenka is the Madrid Open champion for a third time! After a dominant first set, Coco Gauff fought hard in the second, leading a break for most of it. However, Sabalenka broke back at 5-4 down, before going on to win the match, 6-3, 7-6(3). She simply loves these conditions in the Spanish capital.

A second WTA 1000 title of the year for the Belarusian, as she continues to prove just why she is the best player in the world. She now heads to Rome and the French Open in good form and as a real threat on the clay.

Despite the defeat, it has been a positive week for Gauff, who has struggled to find her best form in 2025. She has reached a Roland Garros final before, and if she can get back to playing her best tennis, she will certainly be a factor at the second Grand Slam of the year.

19:14 CET - An imperious start from world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka has seen her take the first set, 6-3. The Belarusian was utterly dominant, and despite a little wobble from the two-time champion midway through, Coco Gauff was just unable to hurt her. Sabalenka is a set away from a third title in Madrid.

17:55 CET - Fourth seed Coco Gauff has enjoyed a timely return to form in the Spanish capital, with the American sweeping aside the likes of Iga Swiatek, Mirra Andreeva and Belinda Bencic en route to the final.

It was Gauff's semi-final thrashing of defending champion Swiatek that'll give her plenty of confidence heading into today's showpiece, as she targets a third WTA 1000 crown.

Having beaten Aryna Sabalenka in their previous meeting at the end of 2024, can the American repeat the trick this afternoon?

16:50 CET - World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka is a two-time champion in Madrid, simply loving the higher-altitude conditions that see the ball move quicker through the air.

The Belarusian beat Marta Kostyuk and Elina Svitolina in the quarter-finals and semi-finals respectively, and she will now be looking to get her hands on a third title here.

While Sabalenka has enjoyed a really good 2025, reaching four finals, she has managed to triumph in only one of those, beating Jessica Pegula in Miami.

Can she improve her record today?

16:15 CET - Good afternoon and welcome back to the Tennis Tracker! The women's tournament comes to an end in Madrid today, with Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff set to face off in a heavyweight battle in the Spanish capital!

Gauff leads the head-to-head 5-4, and also won their last meeting at the WTA Finals at the end of 2024. They have met only once before on a clay court though, and the American also won that meeting in straight sets all the way back in 2021.

We will continue to bring more build up before the final gets underway at 18:30 CET!
