The second round at the Miami Open continues today, with more heavyweight names looking to continue their charge at the second leg of the Sunshine Double.

04:15 CET - The shock of the day comes at the end, as David Goffin stuns Carlos Alcaraz 5-7, 6-4, 6-3. The Belgian managed to keep his nerve against a misfiring Alcaraz, who had 42 unforced errors in the match. Goffin broke the Spaniard's serve four times in the match.

03:10 CET - Tommy Paul comes from a set down to defeat Alexander Bublik 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 in an entertaining match. Winning 79% of the points on his first serve, Paul had to dig deep to get past his Kazakh opponent.

02:10 CET - Brandon Nakashima had to dig deep, but in the end, the 31 seed takes out Roberto Carballes Baena 6-4, 4-6, 6-3. The American served 14 aces in the match, along with 34 winners as he moves on to battle either Alcaraz or Goffin next.

02:05 CET - Francisco Cerundolo continues his incredible start to the 2025 season as he defeats Alexandre Muller 6-1, 6-2. The Argentinian committed just 10 unforced errors in the match as he dominated from start to finish.

01:45 CET - Sebastian Korda gets the better of fellow American Eliot Spizzirri 6-4, 6-2. The world number 25 won 76% of his first serve points as he gets the job done to move onto round three.

01:25 CET - The Australian Open champion Madison Keys takes out Elina Avanesyan 6-3, 6-3 to move into the third round. There were a total of 11 breaks of serve in this one, with Keys getting seven of those. That proved to be the difference as the American continues her great start to the year.

00:30 CET - Fresh off her win in Indian Wells, Mirra Andreeva drops just two games in her 6-0, 6-2 win over Veronika Kudermetova. The world number six won an impressive 89% of her first serve points as she cruises into the third round.

00:15 CET - A couple of matches just finished up, as Elina Svitolina played a very solid match in a 6-1, 6-2 win over Belinda Bencic. Converting all five of her break opportunities, the Ukrainian got the job done in just 73 minutes. Also recently completed is Amanda Anisimova's 6-2, 6-2 victory over Mayar Sherif. Despite hitting four double faults, the number 17 seed did not face a break point in the match as progresses to the third round.

23:59 CET - It wasn't at all plain sailing, but Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk had enough quality to get past Kimberly Birrell, 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 and move into the Miami third round.

23:05 CET - Jessica Pegula is into the third round as she knocked off fellow American Bernarda Pera 6-4, 6-4. It was two very tights sets, but in the end, a break in each set from the world number four allowed her to advance.

22:50 CET - Karolina Muchova has moved through in Miami after her opponent, Victoria Azarenka, had to retire at the end of the first set after suffering what looked like a really concerning injury.

Meanwhile, McCartney Kessler claimed a fantastic win, battling past Linda Noskova, 2-6, 7-5, 7-6(4).

22:14 CET - Six-time Miami champion Novak Djokovic has returned to winning ways, defeating Aussie Rinky Hijikata in two very different sets, 6-0, 7-6(1).

21:33 CET - Stefanos Tsitsipas was really made to work by Chun Hsin Tseng, but eventually had enough to seal a 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 and move through.

21:29 CET - Former US Open champion Emma Raducanu has just claimed a huge, morale-boosting victory, defeating world No. 8 Emma Navarro in an absolute slugfest, 7-6(6), 2-6, 7-6. The match lasted nearly three hours, and it is without question her biggest win in a while. It is also her first top-ten win on a hardcourt.

Meanwhile, Clara Tauson has also moved through in Miami with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Julia Grabher.

20:30 CET - There has been another massive upset in Miami! Daniil Medvedev was well off his game as he was convincingly beaten 6-2, 6-3 by Spain's Jaume Munar. The Russian's tough run of form shows no sign of letting up.

20:18 CET - Paula Badosa surely didn't expect to be tested to this extent, with the Spaniard eventually winning against the supremely talented 18-year-old wildcard Victoria Mboko, 7-5, 1-6, 7-6(3). The Canadian could be a star in the making and showed her quality against one of the world's best players.

19:45 CET - Jelena Ostapenko is out, with the Latvian losing 7-6, 7-5 to world number 140 Alexandra Eala. That's a huge win for the 19-year-old!

Elsewhere, Elise Mertens has picked up an impressive 6-4, 6-1 win over young American talent Peyton Stearns.

19:00 CET - Nick Kyrgios has been unable to follow up his win yesterday, falling at the hands of Karen Khachanov in the second round. The Russian took total control of the contest after a tight first set, winning 7-6(3), 6-0.

18:47 CET - Iga Swiatek was given a little bit of a test in the second set, but in the end, the 2022 Miami champion had more than enough to beat Caroline Garcia, 6-2, 7-5.

Meanwhile, Lorenzo Musetti needed to dig really deep to beat Quentin Halys, overcoming the Frenchman 3-6, 7-6(4), 7-5 in two hours and a half.

18:20 CET - Casper Ruud has survived a huge scare from Miomir Kecmanovic, battling from a set down to beat the Serb, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. Kecmanovic will be kicking himself after missing a simple break point chance in the second set which would have left him a game away from victory.

17:43 CET - We have our first upset of the day with 13th seed Diana Shnaider being beaten 6-4, 7-6 by world number 85 Anna Blinkova!

Felix Auger-Aliassime has had no such trouble, beating Tristan Schoolkate 6-4, 6-4.
