While the Ukrainian was very efficient on break points - converting five of six - she struggled to hold her serve, especially at the key moments. Next for Swiatek will be Eala in the fourth round.
02:40 CET - A thrilling three set match goes the way of Alex De Minaur as he takes out Joao Fonseca 5-7, 7-5, 6-3. The 10th seeded Aussie broke Fonseca's serve four times as he battled from a set down to progress. The teenager's 43 unforced errors, in comparison to De Minaur's 27, also proved key in the end.
01:30 CET - It is another victory for Matteo Berrettini as he defeats Zizou Bergs 6-4, 6-4 in an hour and 35 minutes. The Italian was never broken on his serve in the match, where he had 14 less unforced errors than his Belgian opponent. Next for him will either be Fonseca or De Minaur.
23:42 CET - Paula Badosa has withdrawn from her fourth-round encounter with Alexandra Eala, meaning the latter progresses to the final eight. Eala will then play the winner of today's last match on the women's side between Iga Swiatek and Elina Svitolina.
23:35 CET - Arthur Fils has edged Frances Tiafoe in an absolutely epic three-set match that lasted just shy of three hours to move into the fourth round in Miami.
The Frenchman got over the line, winning 7-6(11), 5-7, 6-2. Next up, he'll be facing top seed Alexander Zverev for a spot in the quarters.
23:02 CET - American fourth seed Jessica Pegula has beaten Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk 6-2, 6-3 to secure a quarter-final appearance in Miami.
Pegula will next take on Emma Raducanu for a spot in the final four.
22:10 CET - Third seed Coco Gauff has been dumped out of the Miami Open by Poland's Magda Linette! The world number 34 won the contest 6-4, 6-4, setting up a quarter-final with Jasmine Paolini.
Home hope Gauff had not dropped a set in Miami before the match but neither had Linette, and it was the latter who was too strong in the end.
21:20 CET - Emma Raducanu has breezed past in-form Amanda Anisimova 6-1, 6-3 in a little over an hour to book her spot in the final eight in Miami.
American Anisimova stunned Mirra Andreeva in the last round, making this an even more impressive win for the resurgent Raducanu.
20:21 CET - Women's top seed Aryna Sabalenka has overcome defending champion Danielle Collins 6-4, 6-4 to set up a quarter-final meeting with Zheng Qinwen in Miami.
Sabalenka fired down seven aces and won 90 per cent of her service games in the statement win.
20:16 CET - Third seed Taylor Fritz is through to the fourth round in Miami after downing Denis Shapovalov 7-5, 6-3.
The American was not greatly challenged by his Canadian opponent and will next face lucky loser Adam Walton for a spot in the quarters.
Elsewhere on the men's side, Jakub Mensik won to set up a fourth-round meeting with fellow Czech Tomas Machac.
19:39 CET - Zheng Qinwen is into the final eight on the women's side in Miami after beating Ashlyn Krueger 6-2, 7-6.
Next up for the Chinese ninth seed is a clash with either world number one Aryna Sabalenka or defending champion Danielle Collins, who are currently facing off. A tough assignment either way for Zheng.
18:41 CET - Men's top seed Alexander Zverev has qualified for the fourth round in Miami after beating Jordan Thompson in straight sets 7-5, 6-4.
Earlier, lucky loser Adam Walton also advanced to keep up his surprise run.
18:30 CET - In the first women's result of the day from Miami, sixth seed Jasmine Paolini has come back to beat Naomi Osaka 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 to book her spot in the quarter-finals.
The Italian is the first player to qualify for the final eight in Miami but she was made to work for it by Osaka, who nailed seven aces and won 51% of the total points.
17:27 CET - Czech player Tomas Machac is the first winner of the day, downing big-serving Reilly Opelka, 7-6(1), 6-3 to move into the fourth round at the Miami Open.

Aryna Sabalenka meets defending champion Danielle Collins a little later before Emma Raducanu looks to continue her good run against the impressive Amanda Anisimova.
Jessica Pegula and Marta Kostyuk will also face off, while Qinwen Zheng, Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek will all aim to reach the quarter-finals.
On the men's side, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Matteo Berrettini will all take to the court with eyes on the last 16. In the standout match of the day, Brazilian wonderkid Joao Fonseca faces the tough challenge of Alex De Minaur.
