Robin Haase (37) and Botic van de Zandschulp (29) have won the doubles tournament in the French city of Montpellier after beating fellow countrymen Tallon Griekspoor (28) and Bart Stevens (27) in the final: 6-7(7), 6-3, 10-5.

The Netherlands' second-highest ranked tennis player Van de Zandschulp won the second tournament of his career after previously winning the European Open singles tournament in Antwerp in 2022.

37-year-old Haase, who almost exclusively switched to playing doubles back in 2020, won two singles tournaments in his career but added a ninth doubles tournament victory in Montpellier after winning the tournament last year as well.

Neither team gave up a break in the first set which Griekspoor and Stevens won after a tiebreak. After Haase and Van de Zandschulp came back from a break deficit in the second set, a deciding tiebreak would crown a winner.

A quick start of Griekspoor and Stevens saw that duo go up 3-0 before losing five of their next six service points and handing Haase and Van de Zandschulp a 10-5 tiebreak victory and thus the tournament.

ABN AMRO Open

Haase, Van de Zandschulp, and the Netherlands' highest ranked player Griekspoor all travel to Rotterdam for the ABN AMRO Open tournament in their home country.

Van de Zandschulp and Griekspoor will team up during the tournament which will be played between February 3-9. The duo open their home tournament with a doubles match against Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz, the tournament's second-seeded team. Individually, Van de Zandschulp will play world number two Carlos Alcaraz in the first round whereas Griekspoor opens against Matteo Berrettini.

Haase will team up with fellow Dutchman Sem Verbeek. The duo open their tournament against the British duo of Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool.
