With the Asia hard-court swing now firmly underway, the WTA action continues in Seoul, with former Grand Slam champions Barbora Krejcikova and Emma Raducanu set to take to the court today. Meanwhile, the Billie Jean King Cup Finals begin, with defending champions Italy in action.

17:36 CET - What an absolutely incredible tie to start off the Billie Jean King Cup Finals! Much like the earlier rubber, Jasmine Paolini had to dig deep to produce her own escape act, as she fought from a break down in both the second and third sets after losing the opener.

In the end, she scrapped to a 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-4 win over Xinyu Wang, helping Italy clinch a 2-0 win over China to reach the semi-finals. The Chinese team will certainly be in disbelief that they didn't, at the very least, take this tie to a deciding rubber, especially considering Wang led 4-2, 40-0 in the final set.

14:13 CET - What an utterly remarkable way to begin the Billie Jean King Cup quarter finals! Somehow, someway, Elisabetta Cocciaretto has produced a stunning escape act, fighting from a break down in the second set, as well as a double break down in the third, to win a thrilling contest against Yue Yuan in just under three hours, 4-6, 7-5, 7-5.

Yuan will be devastated that she wasn't able to get over the line, and will be kicking herself that she hasn't given China a 1-0 lead. Instead, defending champions Italy go up, and Jasmine Paolini will be looking to finish the job next.

Team tennis ALWAYS produces!

13:28 CET - The rain has just not relented in Seoul, and as a result, play has been called off for the day, with matches being moved to tomorrow.

11:12 CET - Two-time Grand Slam champion Barbora Krejcikova has flown into the Seoul second round, claiming a thrashing 6-1, 6-2 win over qualifier Tatiana Prozorova.

Meanwhile, the rain has returned, so play has been paused in the South Korean capital.

11:08 CET - Play is set to get started in the next few minutes at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, with Elisabetta Cocciaretto taking on Yue Yuan in the opening rubber between defending champions Italy and hosts China, before Jasmine Paolini faces Xinyu Wang.

09:55 CET - The rain delay has ended in Seoul as play has got underway for the day!

07:25 CET - Welcome back to the Tennis Tracker this Tuesday morning! There is plenty of great action to look forward to around Asia, with the Seoul Open first round continuing, while the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Shenzhen get underway.

Play has been delayed for the day in Seoul due to the heavy rain in the region, meaning two-time Grand Slam champion Barbora Krejcikova and Diana Shnaider will have to wait before they take to the court. Emma Raducanu, Sorana Cirstea and Beatriz Haddad Maia will also start their campaigns this morning.

Meanwhile, the first tie at the BJK Cup Finals starts at 11:00 CET, with defending champions Italy, led by the dynamic duo of Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani, coming up against hosts China.
