The Cincinnati Open comes to an end today, and what a treat is in store for all tennis fans. Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz meet in a blockbuster, heavyweight final for the fourth time in recent months, before Wimbledon champion Iga Swiatek takes on Jasmine Paolini.

07:25 CET - Whilst the main event last night were all about the finals in Cincinnati, tournaments in Winston-Salem, Cleveland, and Monterrey got underway last night.

British number two Katie Boulter was in late-night action in Cleveland, and she made no mistake in cruising past China's Yue Yuan 6-4, 6-3

Over in Monterrey, top seeds Elise Mertens and Leylah Fernandez both progressed in straight sets, whilst Marie Bouzkova and Donna Vekic also booked their place in the second round.

02:00 CET - Iga Swiatek is the Cincinnati Open champion! She defeats Jasmine Paolini 7-5, 6-4 in two tight sets that saw plenty of breaks. Impressively, the Pole successfully converted all six of her break point opportunities to claim 11th WTA 1000 title.

01:05 CET - At the second time of asking, Iga Swiatek is able to close out the first set, 7-5 versus Jasmine Paolini. The Italian went up 3-0, but then saw the next five games go her opponent's way. Despite being pegged back to 5-5, the world number three held her nerve to claim the opening set.

23:58 CET - Okay, we are now just minutes away from the start of the women's final between Iga Swiatek and Jasmine Paolini. The Pole currently holds a 5-0 head-to-head record against her opponent. Can the Italian do anything to stop her from winning the Cincinnati title?

22:28 CET - Let's take a brief trip to Cleveland, where top seed Liudmila Samsonova has seen off Caroline Dolehide 6-4, 7-6(4) to move into the next round.

22:05 CET - Right then, after that damp squib, we have the women's final still to look forward to between Iga Swiatek and Jasmine Paolini, which gets underway in around two hours' time.

21:48 CET - Jannik Sinner has revealed in the presentation ceremony that he has been feeling unwell over the last few days, and he just wasn't able to play on today.

21:36 CET - Oh my word, what a shame this is. Jannik Sinner has had to retire from the final against Carlos Alcaraz. It is not known what the reason is yet, but Alcaraz is the Cincinnati champion having played just five games. Hugely disappointing way for the match to end - before it really even started. Hopefully it is nothing too serious, with the start of the US Open singles tournament around five days away.

21:33 CET - Well, this has been an anticlimactic start. Carlos Alcaraz has raced to a 5-0 lead, and Jannik Sinner is seriously struggling physically out there. He is barely moving around the court and is not able to put up a fight.

21:10 CET - The gladiators are out on court, and play is just minutes away. Buckle up, we could be in for a cracker!

20:45 CET -  There are just 15 minutes to go until the massive clash between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz in the Cincinnati final, and you can follow the match live with Flashscore.

Alcaraz leads the head-to-head 8-5, but Sinner won their last meeting in four sets in the Wimbledon final.

19:45 CET - Jil Teichmann has won a thriller against one of the biggest stories of the French Open earlier this summer, Lois Boisson.

After a convincing opening set, Teichmann had to collect herself after losing the second set badly to take the decisive set and win 6-4, 1-6, 6-4.

18:50 CET - The first match of the Cleveland Open has come to a close, and it has been won emphatically by home favourite and eighth seed Hailey Baptiste, who defeated Elena Ruse 6-2, 7-6 (7-2).

15:00 CET - Good afternoon and welcome back to the Tennis Tracker, on the final day of the Cincinnati Open!

All eyes will be firmly on the men's final up first at 21:00 CET, which sees world number one Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz meet yet again for an absolute blockbuster final.

It is the fourth time the pair have met in finals this year, with Sinner winning the last meeting in Wimbledon, while Alcaraz won the previous two at the French Open and in Rome.

Defending champion Sinner goes in as the favourite with his prowess and sensational record on hard courts, but we know Alcaraz loves the big stage and facing Sinner.

That will be swiftly followed by the women's final between Wimbledon champion Iga Swiatek and Italian Jasmine Paolini.

Swiatek has been back to her best since triumphing in London, and she has been formidable this week. Paolini will need to dig deep if she wants to stun the Pole, especially considering Swiatek leads the head-to-head 5-0.

Meanwhile, there are first-round matches at Cleveland, Winston-Salem and Monterrey, as the action begins at the former at 17:00 CET.
