20:32 CET - Another seed has fallen in Dubai with eighth-ranked Emma Navarro (23) losing 7-6, 3-6, 7-5 to Sorana Cirstea (34) in the day's final match. Both ladies were playing their second match of the day and with that result, the quarter-final bracket is full.

It's been an eventful day in Dubai - along with Navarro, Aryna Sabalenka (26), Jessica Pegula (30), Qinwen Zheng (22) and Jasmine Paolini (29) are all out!

Catch up on all the results from Dubai here.

18:25 CET - Carlos Alcaraz (21) marches on in Qatar thanks to a hard-fought 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 win over Luca Nardi (21), who gave the Spaniard a tough time.

In the doubles meanwhile, Novak Djokovic (37) and Fernando Verdasco (41) have lost and the latter's career is over as a result. He retires with seven singles titles to his name and a career-high of seventh in the world rankings.

17:17 CET - Karolina Muchova (28) has won an absolute thriller against McCartney Kessler (25), overcoming the American 3-6, 6-1, 7-6(5) in a nail-biting contest.

Kessler served for the match at 5-4 in the final set but was unable to take advantage, with the Czech eventually getting the edge and moving into her second quarter-final of the year.

17:07 CET - The in-form Clara Tauson (22) has sealed a magnificent win in Dubai, stunning Aryna Sabalenka (26) in Dubai, emphatically beating the World No. 1 6-3, 6-2 with a magnificent display of power hitting.

The Dane simply overpowered her opponent, claiming her first top-10 win since 2022. A big moment for her in her career.

16:39 CET - Jiri Lehecka (23), who has only lost two matches in 2025 and already has one title to his name, has coasted past Fabian Marozsan (25), beating the Hungarian 6-4, 6-2 in Doha.

16:25 CET - Felix Auger-Aliassime (24) is through in Qatar following the withdrawal of Hamad Medjedovic (21).

In Dubai meanwhile, Aryna Sabalenka (26) is in trouble; the world number one has lost the first set to Clara Tauson (22) 6-3.

16:20 CET - Daniil Medvedev (28) has eased through in Doha, beating Zizou Bergs (25) 6-2, 6-1 in just 57 minutes.

15:09 CET - Andrey Rublev (27) is the next man to win in Doha, easing past Nuno Borges (28) 6-3, 6-4 in a little over an hour.

Jack Draper (23) was also in ruthless form in the Qatari capital, absolutely crushing Christoper O'Connell (30) 6-2, 6-1 to seal a quarter-final spot.

14:43 CET - Alex de Minaur (26) was given a good test from Botic van de Zandschulp (29), but eventually overcame the Dutchman 6-4, 6-4 in Doha to continue his really good start to 2025.

14:39 CET - After the rain yesterday, Mirra Andreeva (17) has had to play twice today, and the supremely talented young star has managed to clinch a pair of fine wins. The Russian has now thrashed Peyton Stearns (23) 6-1, 6-1 in an hour and a quarter to set up a last-eight meeting with Iga Swiatek (23).

13:58 CET - Elena Rybakina (25) has just won a near three-hour blockbuster in Dubai, beating Spaniard Paula Badosa (27) 4-6, 7-6(8), 7-6(2) to set up a quarter-final meeting with Sofia Kenin (26).

It was an incredible clash with so many momentum shifts. Rybakina even trailed 6-3 in the second set tiebreak and went on to save six match points.

12:45 CET - Iga Swiatek (23) is into yet another WTA 1000 quarter-final. The Pole was involved in a tight first-set tussle with Dayana Yastremska (24), before taking over the match in the second set as the Ukrainian looked to be struggling with some sort of an injury. In the end, Swiatek claimed a 7-5, 6-0 win.

11:59 CET - And another top seed has been knocked out of Dubai! Linda Noskova (20), who has been playing some fantastic tennis in recent weeks, has stunned Jessica Pegula (30), beating the US Open finalist 6-3, 7-6(8) to make the quarter-finals.

11:20 CET - Defending champion Jasmine Paolini (29) is the next big seed to tumble out of Dubai. Similar to Marketa Vondrousova (25) earlier this morning, Paolini suffered a bad-looking ankle injury in the second set, and was in tears as she went on to lose 6-4, 6-0 to Sofia Kenin (26).

10:51 CET - There has been a big upset in Dubai, as No. 7 seed Qinwen Zheng's (22) tough start to the season has continued, falling in the second round after a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 loss to Peyton Stearns (23).

The Chinese star has just one win in her first three tournaments this year.

Emma Navarro (23) has avoided an upset, however. The American won a thriller with the in-form Belinda Bencic (27), overcoming the Swiss player 7-6(6), 2-6, 6-3 in over two and a half hours. Navarro certainly loves a lengthy three-set clash.

10:28 CET - Looking ahead to the rest of the day, Elena Rybakina (25) takes on Paula Badosa (27) in a really interesting third-round clash, while Iga Swiatek (23), Aryna Sabalenka (26) and Karolina Muchova (28) are all set to take to the court a little later on.

In Doha, there are also plenty of big names. Alex de Minaur (26) gets play underway at 12:30 CET, while Daniil Medvedev (29), Jack Draper (23), Andrey Rublev (27) and Carlos Alcaraz (21) are all eyeing a spot in the quarter-finals.

10:15 CET - There have already been some results from Dubai this morning, with Mirra Andreeva (17) claiming a 7-5, 6-0 win over Marketa Vondrousova (25), who was clearly hampered by an injury in the second set.

Sorana Cirstea (34) also staged a fine fightback against Alycia Parks (24), beating the American 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.
