23:00 CET - It's ended up being a perfect evening for Europe's biggest clubs, with Barcelona, Chelsea and Bayern Munich all overcoming tricky starts to pick up all three points.

Newcastle and Athletic Club have also seen things out to claim big wins.

These are the full-time scores:

22:53 CET - A second goal courtesy of Weston McKennie and a missed penalty from Vangelis Pavlidis have given Juventus a 2-0 win over Jose Mourinho's Benfica, making it unlikely that the Portuguese side will make the playoffs.

In France meanwhile, Cody Gakpo put the icing on the cake for Liverpool, who have beaten Marseille 3-0 to move onto the brink of the last 16.

22:38 CET - It's turning into a good night for English sides, with Liverpool now 2-0 up thanks to an own goal and Chelsea finally breaking the deadlock agaisnt Pafos through Moises Caicedo.

22:33 CET - Josh Donaldson at Fortuna Arena: Game over here in Prague? Marcus Rashford fizzes a cross into Robert Lewandowski, and the Polish striker's first touch gives Slavia Prague goalkeeper Jindrich Stanek an opportunity to punch it clear, but Lewandowski is to quick for him and flicks it home.

With 15 minutes to go, it's 4-2 to the visitors.

22:30 CET - Newcastle are rampant! Harvey Barnes has made it 3-0 to the hosts and all but guaranteed that they'll enter the final matchday in the top eight.

22:25 CET - Josh Donaldson at Fortuna Arena: Barca are back in front and it's another goal out of the top draw! Having just been introduced, Dani Olmo receives the ball on the edge of the box and curls a wonderful effort into the top corner.

The Catalan side lead Slavia 3-2 - can the Czech outfit find another reply?

22:19 CET - Athletic Club have drawn level in Bergamo through Gorka Guruzeta, who has bagged his fourth goal of the Champions League campaign.

22:14 CET - Bayern Munich and Juventus have made flying starts to the second halves of their matches, with Harry Kane bagging a quick-fire brace to break the deadlock in Germany and Kephren Thuram putting the Italian side ahead against Benfica.

21:52 CET - Half-time across Europe, and much of the action has come in the Czech capital, where Slavia and Barcelona are locked at 2-2 after a thrilling first half.

Elsewhere, a late first-half strike from Dominik Szoboszlai has put Liverpool 1-0 up at the break in Marseille, whilst it's been a successful first 45 for their fellow Premier League side Newcastle United, who lead PSV 2-0 at the break.

Atalanta find themselves 1-0 up against Athletic Club in their quest to secure a top eight finish, whilst it's goalless everywhere else.

21:45 CET - Josh Donaldson at Fortuna Arena: Hold that thought, Slavia have found the leveller against Barcelona. It's another corner which is the Catalans' undoing. It finds its target at the near post, and the flick comes off Robert Lewandowski, who can do nothing but head it into his own net. Game on!

21:43 CET - Barcelona are ahead at Slavia Prague, and it's a stunning effort from Fermin to put them 2-1 up. On the edge of the box, the Spaniard picks his spot and curls it in with ease.

After their early slip-up, the Catalans have made light work of the Czech side as half-time draws near.

21:34 CET - Josh Donaldson at Fortuna Arena: It's been coming... Slavia finally break from the constant Barcelona pressure, but it is a fine move to do so.

A precise pass from Frenkie de Jong finds Fermin and his shot can't be handled by Jindrick Stanek to see the Catalans level 10 minutes before the break.

21:30 CET - After much criticism over recent performances, Anthony Gordon has hit back tonight for Newcastle to put his side 2-0 up at home to PSV.

21:17 CET - Over to Italy, where it's an early breakthrough for Atalanta against Athletic Club, with Gianluca Scamacca getting on the scoresheet.

21:11 CET - Josh Donaldson at Fortuna Arena: We have lift off in Prague! A corner from the right for the hosts Slavia is flicked on to the back post and bundled in by striker Vasil Kusej. What a start against Barcelona.

21:09 CET - First Champions League start, first goal - it's an easy game. Yoanne Wissa puts Newcastle 1-0 to the good against PSV in the ninth minute - a strike that will give him some much-needed confidence.

21:03 CET - Josh Donaldson at Fortuna Arena: It's a freezing winter's night in Prague, but the Slavia fans, as ever, are doing what they can to create a fiery atmosphere, as their team try and save their Champions League campaign. They take on Barcelona tonight, who have rotated from their usual lineup, giving the Czech side some hope at least.

21:00 CET - We are underway across Europe, what surprises are in store for us tonight?

20:38 CET - The points have been shared in Istanbul as Galatasaray and Atletico Madrid end their encounter all square at 1-1.

Both goals came in the first half, and the result doesn't really move the needle, in terms of qualification, for either team as they look to make it into the knockouts.

Elsewhere, it's all over in Baku, Qarabag have earned a vital win over Eintracht Frankfurt thanks to a last-minute strike from Bahlul Mustafazada.

20:24 CET - As quickly as Eintracht Frankfurt went ahead, Qarabag have a leveller to make it 2-2 with 10 minutes to go.

Their saviour in Baku is Camilo Duran, who now has a brace on the night.

All set up for a grandstand finish there...

20:22 CET - A big goal for Eintracht Frankfurt and their hopes of play-off qualification.

They are now 2-1 up against Qarabag in the Azeri capital thanks to a 78th-minute penalty from Fares Chaibi.

20:12 CET - Before the festive break, Benfica had a resurgence of sorts in the Champions League, winning back-to-back games to pick up their first points of the campaign.

It has put them back in the hunt for qualification into the play-offs, but they face a strong test tonight from 21:00 CET, as they take on Juventus in Italy.

Can they continue their good European form? Here is where to keep up with all the action.

20:06 CET - Just two points, but eight league places, separate Newcastle and PSV before their game at St James' Park this evening, as both teams look to secure their passage into the next round.

PSV have already tasted success on English soil this season, beating Liverpool 4-1 at Anfield earlier in the competition. They have been one of the more hit-or-miss sides this season, meaning it will be an interesting watch to see which version turns up tonight.

19:07 CET - Galatasaray and Frankfurt are back on level terms in their matches against Atletico Madrid and Qarabag, respectively.

Can Yilmaz Uzun netted for the German side, while a Marcos Llorente own goal helped Galatasaray to their leveller.

18:54 CET - We have an early goal in Baku too! Camilo Duran has scored for hosts Qarabag, who have the upper hand over Frankfurt.

18:51 CET - Atletico Madrid have the lead in Turkey after just four minutes, with Giuliano Simeone heading home from Matteo Ruggeri's cross.

18:47 CET - We're now underway in both Istanbul and Baku. Stay tuned for all the latest scores and updates!

18:05 CET - Let's head over to Azerbaijan, where Qarabag host Eintracht Frankfurt with both sides needing a win to keep up their hopes of qualifying for the knockout rounds of the Champions League.

The pair haven't met since 2013 in a Europa League playoff, where Frankfurt came out on top - will it be the same tonight?

16:00 CET - Hello and welcome back to Flashscore's coverage of this week's Champions League action!

We have another blockbuster night on the horizon, and it begins in Istanbul, where Galatasaray are playing host to Atletico Madrid. Diego Simeone's side will be going all out to win, with three points likely to be enough to guarantee them a place in the last 16, while the visitors know a draw will all but certainly seal them a spot in the playoffs.

Qarabag vs Frankfurt is the other early kick-off, and after those games, our attention will then turn to the final games of the week, which will see Liverpool and Barcelona navigate tricky trips while Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Juventus look to add another three points to their tallies on home turf.

Tuesday, January 20th

23:45 CET - That's all from us this evening, but be sure to tune in again tomorrow for nine more matches in the Champions League's Matchday 7.

23:40 CET - And breathe! That was certainly a crazy night of Champions League action, with tons of goals and some truly stunning results.

To recap the main headlines, Man City were shocked by Bodo/Glimt early on in the evening before Arsenal beat Inter, Real Madrid thrashed Monaco, and Sporting edged PSG dramatically at the death. Here are all the scores from Tuesday:

Inter 1-3 Arsenal

Real Madrid 6-1 Monaco

Sporting 2-1 PSG

FC Copenhagen 1-1 Napoli

Olympiacos 2-0 Bayer Leverkusen

Tottenham 2-0 Dortmund

Villarreal 1-2 Ajax

Bodo/Glimt 3-1 Manchester City

Kairat Almaty 1-4 Club Brugge

22:58 CET - The results are flying in now as Spurs and Sporting hold on to big wins against Dortmund and PSG respectively, whilst Real Madrid have won 5-1 against Monaco.

22:52 CET - PSG were briefly level in Sporting after a brilliant goal by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia but Sporting are back ahead after poor goalkeeping allowed Luis Suarez to complete his brace on the rebound! A massive shock is close to being realised.

22:43 CET - A big goal for Arsenal and an even bigger goal for struggling striker Viktor Gyokeres! The Gunners needed a third goal to kill the game off, and they have exactly that.

A stunning outside of the foot pass by Gabriel Martinelli released the big Swede, and after getting some luck with the ball falling back to him, Gyokeres did the rest to curl an effort into the top corner.

22:38 CET - PSG have put the ball in the net twice this evening (both disallowed), but it is Sporting CP who take the lead against the run of play! A cruel deflection falls to the feet of Luis Suarez and the striker makes no mistake of the gift to fire the hosts ahead.

22:35 CET - A big goal for Copenhagen to equalise against Napoli, and it has come from the penalty spot by Jordan Larsson, although he did need two attempts after his initial penalty was parried away.

22:25 CET - A world-class finish by Vinicius Junior has made it 5-0 to Real Madrid after a dangerous drive into the box.

There are a lot of question marks around Real Madrid but when they are on it, they are such a dangerous team with world-class quality.

22:20 CET - A big goal for Ajax in Villarreal as a threatening free-kick delivery by Oscar Gloukh into the box went through everyone and into the back of the net.

22:12 CET - Real Madrid are completely out of sight now as teenage sensation Franco Mastantuono passes the ball into the corner with impressive composure after a smart Vini Jr. layoff.

It goes from bad to worse for Monaco as a Vini cross is put into his own net by Thilo Kehrer in calamitous fashion.

22:07 CET - Well, that didn't take long! Villarreal have scored the opening goal of the second half, and it is a beauty! A long ball is pumped forward, and Tanitoluwa Oluwaseyi lets it bounce before firing a strike into the top corner. Unstoppable.

22:04 CET - Play is starting to get back underway across Europe for what should be another fascinating 45 minutes of football!

21:52 CET - Here are the half-time scores from around the grounds - plenty of goals already:

21:41 CET - Popping up to Denmark, Napoli now lead their hosts FC Copenhagen 1-0, after Scott McTominay's goal. Yes, him again! The Danes are also down to 10 men, and really must not lose this one.

21:37 CET - Spurs have made their man advantage count- they are now 2-0 up against Dortmund. Dominic Solanke has, rather fortuitously, scored his first goal in the Champions League.

21:34 CET - Gabriel Jesus has scored again to put Arsenal 2-1 up against Inter in Milan. What a night the Brazilian is already having - that's his first UCL brace since December 2019!

21:28 CET - It's that man again... Kylian Mbappe has scored again for Real Madrid as he haunts his former club Monaco. It's now 2-0 to Los Blancos.

21:26 CET - In a massive boost to Spurs, and potentially Thomas Frank, Dortmund have been reduced to 10 men, with Daniel Svensson sent off after his yellow was upgraded to a straight red via a VAR review.

21:20 CET - Moving back to Milan, Inter have drawn level with Arsenal through Petar Sucic. The Croat doesn't get too many goals - that one could be crucial!

21:13 CET - Over in North London, Tottenham lead Dortmund 1-0 thanks to captain Cristian Romero, who has slotted from close range. Could this be a night that saves Thomas Frank's job?

21:11 CET - Arsenal also have an early goal! The Gunners lead Inter 1-0 thanks to Gabriel Jesus' strike. It's all happening.

21:07 CET - Make that two... Kylian Mbappe has also scored for Real Madrid to put them 1-0 up against his former club Monaco at the Santiago Bernabeu.

21:03 CET - We already have a goal! Olympiacos are 1-0 up against Bayer Leverkusen in a match that the Greek side really must win to stay in the hunt for the playoffs. Costinha has scored for the hosts in Piraeus.

21:01 CET - The late games are getting underway around Europe in the Champions League, with Real Madrid, Arsenal, PSG, and Napoli all in action. Wow, that is some spread! You can follow it all via the link above.

20:35 CET - Manchester City have been stunned in Norway - incredible! Bodo/Glimt richly deserved the win as they caused Man City problems on the counter all evening, and the visitors were caught time and again. Ecstasy for Bodo/Glimt and nightmare for Guardiola's men, whose disastrous week takes another painful turn.

20:18 CET - The other intriguing clash of the evening sees Tottenham host Borussia Dortmund in what could be Thomas Frank's last game as Spurs manager.

In a possible last throw of the dice, Frank has handed a start to the returning striker Dominic Solanke, and his return is a big boost to the North London side.

20:05 CET - We will return to team news shortly but there have been developments in Bodo to bring you! Firstly, Jens Hauge brilliantly curled an effort into the top corner before Rayan Cherki instantly responded with a low-driven strike into the bottom corner.

That was followed moments later by a Rodri red card, ending any chance of a late City revival!

20:00 CET - Team news is in for the game of the day as Inter host league leaders Arsenal. The surprise starters from Mikel Arteta's side are that Gabriel Jesus starts in attack Myles Lewis-Skelly starts at left-back.

19:35 CET - An incredible first half in Bodo has come to an end with the hosts taking a 2-0 lead into the break! Pep Guardiola's side have been stunned and have their work cut out in the second half to rescue what has the potential to be an embarrassing result.

17:45 CET - Erling Haaland is starting for Manchester City tonight on his return to Norway to face Bodo/Glimt. That match kicks off at 18:30 CET.

17:18 CET - At half-time in Almaty, Club Brugge lead Kairat 2-0 thanks to goals from Aleksandar Stankovic and Hans Vanaken.

It's not looking good for the hosts; a loss tonight would confirm they cannot progress at the tournament.

16:15 CET - In 15 minutes, the first match of the day kicks off in Almaty between Kairat and Club Brugge.

To stay alive in the tournament and reach the playoffs, both sides really must win today. Mathematically, Brugge could get away with a draw, but they won't want to take their chances.
