Czech U21 international Lukas Ambros has transferred to Brussels’ Anderlecht after a successful season with Gornik Zabrze. The Belgian giants are reported to have paid around six million euros for the attacking midfielder. Ambros has signed a contract with the famous Brussels club until the end of the 2029/30 season, with an option to extend for another year.

"The transfer to Anderlecht is the highlight of my career so far. It’s a huge honor for me to play for a club with such a history. Anderlecht are the biggest club in Belgium and has ambitions I want to be part of. I believe we can achieve them," said Ambros in an interview for the club’s official website.

The midfielder, who came through the academy at Germany’s Wolfsburg, is set to become one of the ten most expensive transfers in Anderlecht's history.

"I’m a player who likes to have the ball at his feet, I try to stay on the move all the time. I hope to help the team with my creativity, by creating chances, scoring goals, and providing assists. I believe the dominant style of play that Anderlecht presents suits me well," Ambros revealed.

The Czech midfielder bids farewell to Gornik after two seasons, during which he helped the club win the Polish Cup and finish second in the Ekstraklasa. Across all competitions in Zabrze, he played 58 matches, recording a tally of 3 goals and 6 assists.

He also has over 50 appearances for Czech youth national teams. In the current European Championship qualifiers, he has played in all seven matches for the U21 side.
