Mia Blichfeldt booked her ticket to the second round of the Badminton World Championships in New Delhi, when she returned to action following her knee problems to beat Keisha Fatimah Azzahra from Azerbaijan 21-18, 21-4.

It took a little time for her to get going, but once Mia Blichfeldt found her rhythm, she secured a comfortable straight-sets victory—21-18, 21-4over Keisha Fatimah Azzahra of Azerbaijan at the Badminton World Championships.

As the scoreboard shows, Mia Blichfeldt was completely dominant in the second set, but the first set clearly revealed that the Dane had been sidelined by an injury for four months.

She trailed by five points at one stage (5-10) and had to work hard to claw her way back—but she succeeded. After a tight finish, Mia Blichfeldt won the set 21-18, and from there, she never looked back.

In the second set, Mia Blichfeldt surged to a 9-1 lead before Keisha managed to get on the scoreboard again. However, she faced little further resistance, and the Dane thus advanced to the second round of the tournament.
