The Milwaukee Brewers clinched their place in the 2026 World Series on Thursday, and with the ALCS ongoing, MLB have announced the schedule for the Fall Classic.

After a long, hard fought season, the 103 win Milwaukee Brewers made franchise history on Thursday night, sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers to clinch their place in the World Series for the first time in 44 years.

The celebrations in Los Angeles were massive for the underdog Brewers, with Manager Pat Murphy celebrating the fact that his underdog team came to play and overcame the odds, even against the back-to-back World Series Champions.

"They may have a bunch of Hall of Famers, but we have a bunch of gamers. And the gamers won this week," said Murphy.

Now, the Brewers await another small market team in the Fall Classic, with the Tampa Bay Rays, who topped the American League in 2026 taking on the Cleveland Guardians, who overcame a 2-0 deficit in the ALDS in Game 4 on Friday night.

Both teams have battled hard in the post-season thus far, and with the Guardians having the opportunity to go 3-1 up at home on Friday, this may perhaps be the most important game of the playoffs to date for either Tampa Bay or Cleveland. Given the resilience and talent of both teams, there's a good chance this one goes all the way to seven games, and for the Brewers, who now get to rest all of their starters until the ALCS is done, it potentially a very good thing.

So, when will the World Series officially begin? That was a question answered by Major League Baseball ahead of Game 4, as they took to social media to reveal the schedule for the 2026 Fall Classic.

What we learned is that regardless of the ALCS result, Game 1 of the World Series takes place next Friday, October 23rd, with a potential Game 7 taking place in Milwaukee on October 31st.

Not only do the Brewers have home field advantage, but they've now got the edge in rest as well, but given how brilliant all three remaining teams have been thus far, absolutely anything can happen when the Fall Classic gets started.
