Milwaukee Brewers No. 4 prospect Luis Lara knocked a two-run single for his first big-league hit on Tuesday.

Lara, 21, got the hit in his third at-bat during his MLB debut to give the Brewers a 3-0 lead in the top of the fifth off pitcher Hunter Dobbins.

MLB's No. 67 prospect had been tearing it up in Triple-A this season in the Brewers' system. The Venezuelan was slashing a jaw-dropping .321/.432/.470 with nine home runs, 42 RBI, and 24 stolen bases through 78 games.

Lara had already signed a seven-year, $31 million contract extension back in June. Now, he joins a 57-33 Brewers team that sits just two games back of the Los Angeles Dodgers (60-32) for the No. 1 spot in the National League.
