Aalborg Handball won the first leg of the Danish title decider against Skanderborg AGF 30-29, after a close match where the away team caused Aalborg huge problems. The match was only decided at the very end by a penalty save by Niklas Landin from Johan Hansen.
"I was actually prepared for something else. So it was pure instinct in the end. Many things go through both of our heads, and we know each other incredibly well, so I chose not to lock myself too much in relation to the shot that I had prepared for", said Landin to TV 2 Sport after the match.
The return leg will be played on Thursday in Aarhus, where Aalborg, who have also qualified for the Final Four in the Champions League, can secure their ninth Danish league title.
