After 27 rounds of the 2025 Allsvenskan, Mjallby had already won the title; after 27 rounds this season, they still aren't safe from relegation, even if a draw with fellow drop-threatened Kalmar has taken them to the brink of safety.

Mjallby 0-0 Kalmar

Having ended their long winless run in Allsvenskan against Orgryte last time out, Mjallby again held off one of the teams below them to move seven points clear of Degerfors with three matches to play, while the draw takes Kalmar three clear of Degerfors and closer to their own survival.

Across the 90 minutes, Tom Pettersson forced a great save from Samuel Brolin to preserve the deadlock, while Jeppe Kjaer was unable to test the visiting goalkeeper from a promising position. At the other end, Kasper Paananen had the best of Kalmar's four shots on goal, but Alexander Lundin was equal to it to earn a first league clean sheet since mid-July.

However, MAIF were given a huge slice of luck as Lundin appeared to take a goal kick short to Axel Noren, who then handled the ball in preparation to take the goal kick himself. The referee adjudged no foul had taken place and did not award Kalmar a penalty.

Mjallby will be safe with one more win, or if Degerfors fail to win all of their last three starting with welcoming GAIS on Saturday 7th November.

GAIS 2-1 AIK

Degerfors will meet a GAIS side in form, as the Gothenburg club beat AIK for a second win in a row as they went unbeaten in three. It's one win in four now for AIK, whose slim European hopes had already been ended by other results going against them this round.

With 10 minutes to play in the first half, Rasmus Niklasson's run down the left was ended by a defender poking the ball away, but only into the path of Max Andersson in the centre, and he guided home the opening goal for GAIS.

And in the first 10 minutes of the second half, Niklasson was heavily involved again as he ran onto William Milovanovic's through ball and steered it low past Kristoffer Nordfeldt to make it 2-0.

AIK gave themselves hope in the 76th minute by playing a couple of quick passes between the Mackerels' lines to Axel Kouame, who delicately clipped the ball over the advancing Mergim Krasniqi, but despite late chances, the visitors weren't able to force an equaliser. AIK sit eighth, now just a point ahead of GAIS in 10th.
