Inter Turku are one round away from the UEFA Conference League (UECL) League Phase after securing a thrilling draw in Liechtenstein that secured a one-goal aggregate win over Vaduz.

Vaduz 2-2 Inter Turku (3-4 on aggregate)

Protecting a 2-1 lead from the first leg, Inter Turku needed they only needed to avoid defeat against the Liechtenstein cup winners to win a third major European tie of the summer, having failed to win any of their previous eight.

But things went wrong early on, as Vaduz took the lead in the fourth minute when Dominik Schwizer set up Denis Simani to level the tie on aggregate. However, the Finnish side would respond well, taking less than 10 minutes to get back on level terms when Alie Conteh found Jasse Tuominen, who scored his second goal of the competition.

The second half carried on in the same vein as the first - Vaduz went ahead again in the first 10 minutes, as Lutfi Dalipi made it 3-3 on aggregate, but once again, FC Inter held their nerve and fought back.

In the 76th minute, Prosper Ahiabu, who notched the winner in the first leg in Turku, again made a telling contribution by teeing up Conteh, who fired in the fourth goal of the night to send the Veikkausliiga club through to the play-off round.

There, they will face a tough test, taking on Danish giants FC Copenhagen over two legs, with history on the line for the Finnish side.
