Round 2 of the Eredivisie continued on Saturday with PSV's first win of the new season and big wins for Europe-bound NEC Nijmegen and AZ. Flashscore takes you through all of Saturday's results.

Excelsior - PSV: 1-2

PSV finally won their first game of the 2026/27 season after narrowly beating Excelsior 2-1 in Rotterdam.

Willem II - NEC Nijmegen: 1-4

NEC Nijmegen rebounded perfectly from their false start against Telstar, beating lowly Willem II 4-1.

Adam Tahaui, who got his first start with Sami Ouaissa out for the foreseeable future, rewarded manager Dick Schreuder's trust by scoring the opener in the first minute of added time, beating reserve goalkeeper Karst de Leeuw with a header.

With Bodo/Glimt manager Kjetil Knutsen a watchful spectator ahead of his side's UEFA Champions League clash with NEC on Tuesday,  veterans Tjaronn Chery and Bryan Linssen added to Willem II's sorrows in the second half, while Kaj Sierhuis earned NEC a 4-0 lead in the 67th minute with a classy volley.

Thomas Verheydt got Willem II on the scoreboard, but it was a goal for the statistics as NEC played the perfect warm-up game before their UCL play-off against Bodo/Glimt.

FC Utrecht - AZ: 1-4

FC Utrecht continued their poor start under former Telstar manager Anthony Correia as AZ marched into Utrecht and took all three points home with a dominant 4-1 win.

AZ captain Peer Koopmeiners, who extended his contract in Alkmaar until 2029 earlier this week, silenced the home crowd in added time of the first half after steering his corner directly into Vasilis Barkas' goal. Weslley Patati and Mexx Meerdink ended Utrecht's hopes of making a quick comeback in the second half, putting AZ up three within five minutes of half-time.

Bayer Leverkusen loanee Artem Stepanov headed Utrecht to 3-1, but couldn't inspire a comeback as Ayoub Oufkir put the final scoreline on the board in the 84th minute.

Fortuna Sittard - Cambuur: 3-1

A week after holding champions PSV to a 2-2 draw in Eindhoven, Fortuna Sittard continued their bright start to the season with a 2-1 win over promoted Cambuur.

Philip Brittijn handed Fortuna an early lead after heading home from a Mohammed Ihattaren corner, with Lequincio Zeefuik doubling the lead in the opening quarter with a tidy finish.

Rafik El Arguioui put Cambuur on the scoreboard with a brilliant solo run through Fortuna's defence, but he couldn't ignite a fire in Cambuur's squad. Feyenoord loanee Shiloh 't Zand rewarded Fortuna for a strong outing, scoring the 3-1 in the dying seconds to lift the roof off the Fortuna Sittard Stadium.
