Gustav Isaksen and Viktor Froholdt are both back in the Danish starting line up against Wales on Sunday evening.

Victor Froholdt is back in the starting lineup for the Danish national football team, who visit Wales in the Nations League on Sunday.

Froholdt replaces the injured Mikkel Damsgaard in attacking midfield. In addition to Froholdt, Gustav Isaksen is a new addition to the starting lineup, taking over the right-winger spot from Adam Daghim.

These are the only two Danish changes since Thursday's 2–4 defeat to Portugal at Parken.

Froholdt started on the bench in the last two matches, but according to head coach Brian Riemer, it was not a deliberate decision to leave out the FC Porto rising star.

According to the head coach, it was a matter of assembling the strongest possible team.

"That is the art that is sometimes the hardest of all. Because if you could simply take a list of the ten best players and put them in, it would be a bit easier," Riemer said at Saturday's press conference.

"We have tried to find a balance between players who can maintain structure and put in the running, and having some of those creative types—like we saw against Portugal with Mohamed Daramy and Damsgaard."

Daramy has retained his spot as the left winger. The Reims player put in a strong performance against Portugal, even though he did not get on the scoresheet.

The Danish starting lineup:

Mads Hermansen – Rasmus Nissen Kristensen, Joachim Andersen, Oliver Provstgaard, Joakim Mæhle – Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Morten Hjulmand, Victor Froholdt – Gustav Isaksen, Rasmus Hojlund, Mohamed Daramy.
