Alexander Isak started Sweden's opening Nations League game and scored their first goal in a 2-1 win over Romania.
The Liverpool striker played the full 90 minutes but will now miss the matches against Poland, Bosnia and Romania due to a physical problem.
"Alexander Isak is to return from international duty due to a minor injury. The striker will not take part in Sweden's three remaining matches and will now be assessed by the club medical staff at the AXA Training Centre," Liverpool announced in an official statement.
Liverpool face Manchester City at Anfield on October 11th, when the Premier League returns.
