Anderlecht 3-1 Hammarby (4-2 on aggregate)
A 1-1 draw in Stockholm left the contest finely poised, and it took less than 120 seconds for an upset to become a real possibility, as Victor Lind's strike hit the post, and reacting quickest was Paulos Abraham, who gobbled up the rebound.
Both sides had opportunities to change the complexion of the match before the break, before Anderlecht came out firing in the second half. Again, it took just under two minutes for the goal to arrive, as a deep cross was headed back across goal by Ali Maamar and nodded in by Danylo Sikan.
The tie seemed to be heading for extra time until the Belgian side struck again as the final 10 minutes began - Lukas Anbros cut inside and took a shot on, which Warner Hahn saved, but this time it was Mihajlo Cvetkovic on the follow-up who tucked it away.
And the final nail in the Hammarby coffin came in the 90th minute, and it was all of their own making. Hahn's poor pass out from the back put Ibrahima Fofana under all sorts of pressure from Tristan Degreef, who stole the ball inside the area and finished coolly.
Hammarby drop down into the UEFA Conference League qualifiers, where they will face Rakow of Poland. Anderlecht move on to face Greek side PAOK in the UEL third qualifying round.
