Hungarian outfit Veszprem underlined that they are a force to be reckoned with this season in the Champions League when they recorded an emphatic 35-29 away win against last year's runner's up Fuchse Berlin.

After a fast-paced opening phase, Füchse lost their rhythm against a savvy Hungarian side. At one point, Veszprém pulled seven goals ahead, remaining unruffled even by an aggressive German defensive setup.

The home side were struggling against the visitors' compact defense, backed by Danish goalkeeper Emil Nielsen, who, much like his Berlin counterpart, had a solid game.

Emil Nielsen contributed ten saves in the Veszprém goal, and thanks to the win, the visitors now take the lead in their group with two wins from two matches.

World handballer Mathias Gidsel did all he could to prevent the defeat by scoring ten times and providing five assists, but it was not enough against the strong Hungarians.
